Cold Forming

Cold forming simply put is a process in which metal is formed under high speed and high pressure.This is done to increase the yield, hardness, and tensile strengths. Cold forming provides a number of advantages over other forming methods and they include High volume output, Complex Shapes, Strength and lower cost.

To add up to our machining facility is the cold forming set up, here we have cold forming presses of the capacity 200, 400 & 630 Tons. To support this we have shearing presses, Trimming press, coining presses , Hydraulic presses , phosphating (soaping ) set up , tumbler , shot blasting , Compressor. We have our die making facility and approved suppliers for carbide tools and dies. This set up has added value not only to us but to our customers as well. We have converted many of the feasible components from Bar route to cold forming route and have passed on the savings to our customers. We have successfully developed Aluminium piston from cold forming route. This has helped our customers not only in terms of cost but also in terms of the volume churning out in a very short time. At the same time customers also get additional advantage of continuous grain flow, homogeneity, enhanced strength, improvement in fatigue strength, this process avoids porosity in the components.
